Research has shown that women are grossly under-represented in the workforce, with 95% of people in the blockchain industry being men, according to the Global Crypto User Index
In a study by VC long hash, only 14.5% of blockchain startup team members were women-led. A survey also reports that as of December 2021, only five (or 4.13 percent of the total) of the 121 leading blockchain companies across the globe, were led by women founders.
